Feel the powers of mother Earth

If nature is your thing, we recommend a visit to the Biosphere Reserve Nockberge which has  been under UNESCO’s protection since 2016. Over a surface area of 184.3 km² the park extends across gentle, rounded mountain tops, alpine pastures and woodland. It provides a living space for humans, flora and fauna. With the help of an experienced ranger, your incentive group will get a chance to learn more about the bio-diversity of this alpine region near the Millstätter See. A particularly interesting attraction is the Karlbad, where pleasant baths are still prepared following an age-old custom. The entire hut is without electricity and is managed in traditional style.

The journey will take you to places with numerous surprises and award you with impressive views on the panoramic roads. At the “Glockenhütte”, there is a bell, where you can make a wish and who knows, it might even make the bad weather go away. On the Zechneralm alpine pasture, the Mountain Farming Museum will take you back in time and the Pfandl Hut will delight you with its marmot exhibition. The programme includes an authentic Carinthian meal and an almost mandatory tasting of the famous Karlbadknödel.
